Dianne Brown: A Life of Learning, Laughter and Love

Resident Spotlight

Meet Dianne Brown, whose life story is stitched together with family, learning, and a love for the land. Growing up in Autaugaville, Dianne’s earliest memories are of wide-open fields, cows and horses, and the joy of tagging along with her father on the farm. Her mother was a beautician with a steady hand and a warm smile—skills that seemed to run in the family.

After graduating from Hicks Memorial High, Dianne followed her passion for learning to Auburn University, where she earned her teaching degree. She and her husband, John, raised two sons, and Dianne spent the early years of their childhood as a devoted homemaker before returning to the classroom. Teaching science and math at Hicks Memorial Jr. High—the very halls she once walked as a student—felt like coming full circle.

Dianne is a true sports fan, cheering loudest for Auburn football but happy to watch just about any game. She played softball as a teenager and still lights up when she talks about those days on the field. Today she’s a resident of The Harbor at Hickory Hill. And whether she’s outside soaking up fresh air or curled up with a good book, Dianne brings a quiet enthusiasm to everything she does, making her a friend to many and a joy to know.
