Shelly Shaffer

Executive Director

Shelly Shaffer joined the Harbor family in November 2022, bringing to the table many years with senior living experience.  She was first drawn towards senior living many years ago after being the primary caregiver for her mother.

“After she passed away, I wanted to do something that made me feel like I was making a difference. I chose senior living. I have worked in many different roles in the senior living industry, and I know that my life’s mission is being fulfilled as I get to be around the most fascinating people in the world every day and make connections that last a lifetime. It truly is the most rewarding career!” 

Shelly is an Assisted Living Administrator CAT II in Alabama, AHCA Core Certified in Florida and an Assisted Care Living Facility Administrator in Tennessee.

Originally from Granite City, Illinois, Shelly raised her 3 children in Alabama, making it her home for the last 40 years. She is a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and enjoys spending her free time refinishing antique furniture and crafting of all kinds.
